The Option™ ELITE inferior vena cava filter protects against recurrent pulmonary embolism (PE). It can be retrieved or remain implanted depending on whether the patient needs short-term or long-term PE protection. With over six years of positive, consistent and proven clinical performance, the Option™ELITE filter has a unique anchoring system that makes retrievals easier. The Option™ ELITE is now cleared for delivery using a standard or over-the-wire technique via jugular, femoral, antecubital, or popliteal access.
